2013 Left Handed Languedoc G2 #133
2013 Left Handed Languedoc G2 #133
1 of 3 Left-handed Languedocs ever built
This is an amazing left handed Languedoc G2, serial number 133, built in May 2013. It features a natural finish with a highly figured European maple top, Claro Walnut for the back and sides, a highly figured hard maple neck and ebony fingerboard. The binding is Royalite with three-ply purfling throughout, including binding on the headstock, neck, and f-holes. There are mother of pearl fret markers in a rectangular pattern from the third to the 24th fret. The 12th and 24th frets feature a rectangular frame of mother of pearl, each with an abalone accent within.
The scale length is 25.5 inches with a 14” fingerboard radius. The electronics are original, featuring a pair of Seymour Duncan SH-1 ‘59 model pickups, master volume and tone knobs and two switches: one for coil drop and the other for series/parallel switching. The hardware consists of a set of chrome plated Schaller tuners, an adjustable ebony bridge with compensated brass saddles and a carved ebony tailpiece.
The guitar shows signs of careful use. The frets have worn down, but there is still enough material for a grind and polish with a Plek machine if so desired. There are polishing marks and some slight pickwear around the pickups. The lacquer around the binding edges has absorbed some of the red dye present in the SBK Flight Case lining. This is noticeable on the back binding. We have elected to leave it as it is because the finish over the binding is otherwise original and undisturbed. The SBK Flight Case is original to the guitar and is included.
