2024 Fairbanks F-LG "Super Smeck"

With a size and depth that slots perfectly between Fairbanks' F-20 and F-35, the F-LG is a powerful mid-sized guitar. Originally introduced in 1942, Dale's recreation of this versatile guitar retains its classical-inspired body profile and slightly increased depth for more internal volume, and builds on it with a lightly braced top and back, utilizing a straight braced red spruce X with scalloped tone bars. 

One might say there is no perfect guitar, but then one hasn’t played an F-LG.

Building upon the F-LG standard, the F-LG Super borrows its styling elements from the F-35 Super Smeck. Featuring fancy block inlay on the fretboard and headstock, Adirondack spruce top, figured maple back, sides, and 3-ply neck, and a bound, ‘tiger’s eye’ celluloid pickguard (among other vintage-inspired stylistic delicacies), the F-LG will enable you to walk tall and proud through your throngs of fans at Royal Albert Hall.
