William "Grit" Laskin Cittern
William "Grit" Laskin is a Canadian Luthier who has been crafting stringed instruments since 1971. World-renowned for his inlay work, this is a unique opportunity to own a hand-built instrument made by one of the masters of his craft in 1980, relatively early in his career.
Featuring a black-bound Sitka spruce top, three-piece flame maple back & sides, and a flame maple neck, this is a loud and resonant Cittern. Traditionally tuned DGDAD, it has a 20" scale, ivoroid bound Indian rosewood fingerboard and ebony bridge. The headstock has an Indian rosewood veneer with an intricate white Lily inlay. The tuners are modified Grover machines with with pearloid buttons. A K&K pure pickup has been professionally installed. Offered now in excellent condition.
